Indiana Limestone can be used for a hearth, mantel or full surround. The indoor and outdoor fireplace designs enhance the beauty of the setting. In addition, it will hold up for years of functionality, bringing home warmth and enjoyment.
Hearth
The stone in front of the firebox opening that extends into the room. Indiana Limestone can be used for this at the floor or at a raised section. Can be cut straight or have a bowed front edge.
Mantel
The stone that is a shelf above the fireplace opening. Can be cut straight or have a bowed front edge.
Furnace Edge Finish Options
Profile – Custom mold to fit the thickness of the hearth or mantel
Bullnose – Rounded edge that can be machined full or half bullnose to eliminate sharpness
Rockface – Edge is pitched to imitate a bare surface of natural stone
Flat – Honed flat and consistent
Bracket
The stone can be cut into brackets for support and ornamental aesthetics below the mantel.
Surrounds
Indiana Limestone can be used to trim around the firebox the same way you would trim around a door. It would consist of 2 legs and a header piece. Unlike cast stone kits where a thin filler piece is needed, we custom cut the fireplace surrounds to the exact firebox opening.
Furnace Face Finish Options
Profile – Custom mold to fit the width of the legs and header. The header profile returns down to meet the leg pieces. Miter cuts are not utilized.
Rockface – Edge is pitched to imitate a bare surface of natural stone
Flat – Honed flat and consistent
